DHA's current CBT guidance describes the booking pathway as:

1. Check the required mode of assessment for your professional title.
2. Create or access your Sheryan account.
3. Obtain your DHA Unique ID.
4. Generate the applicable CBT eligibility information.
5. Schedule the examination through Prometric.

What Should You Bring on Exam Day?

DHA's current FAQ states that the required identification document for the assessment is the candidate's original passport or National ID.

Prometric appointment instructions may include additional operational requirements, so always review the confirmation sent for your particular appointment.

When Do DHA Prometric Results Appear?

DHA states that Prometric assessment results are shared immediately as a Pass or Fail result.

The result is also available within the professional account and relevant Sheryan application.

DHA does not normally provide the candidate with the numerical assessment score.

What Happens If You Fail?

DHA regulates assessment attempts under the current PQR and licensing rules.

The current DHA materials generally use a three-attempt framework for the applied professional position, with additional rules and exceptions described in the current licensing manual.

Because assessment-attempt rules can affect future eligibility, check your own Sheryan status and the latest DHA manual before paying for another attempt.

DHA's FAQ also states there is no mandatory grace period before reapplying for another assessment after a failed attempt, subject to current eligibility and assessment availability.

What Happens After You Pass?

Passing the DHA GP assessment does not automatically give you an active professional licence.

The normal pathway still requires:

1. Completion of required PSV/DataFlow.
2. Submission and approval of the Get Registered application.
3. Issuance of DHA professional registration.
4. Activation of that registration into a licence by an eligible hiring facility.

DHA states that professional registration is valid for one year, during which an eligible healthcare facility should activate it into a licence before clinical practice begins.

Common DHA GP Mistakes to Avoid

1. Treating Prometric as the Licensing Authority

Prometric delivers the CBT. DHA determines professional eligibility, registration and licensing.

2. Waiting for DataFlow Before Starting All Exam Steps

DHA allows PSV and CBT to proceed in parallel.

3. Assuming Passing the Exam Means You Are Licensed

Registration and facility licence activation still remain.

4. Studying an Unofficial “Percentage Blueprint”

DHA publishes GP content areas but does not currently publish fixed percentages for each topic.

5. Using Generic Gulf GP Exam Rules

DHA, DOH, MOHAP and other authorities do not necessarily use the same exam format, provider, eligibility requirements or licensing sequence.

6. Relying on “Recall” Questions

Use legitimate independently developed clinical practice questions rather than protected or confidential live examination content.

7. Ignoring Document Consistency

Names, dates, licences, employment history and qualifications should be consistent across your application and verification records.
