Which Canadian healthcare exams will ExamCure prepare for?
ExamCure is evaluating preparation for selected pathways including MCCQE, the NAC Examination, NCLEX-RN, REx-PN, PEBC pharmacist and pharmacy technician examinations, NDEB examinations, the CFPC Certification Examination in Family Medicine and selected Royal College specialty examinations. A product will be published only after its exact scope and included resources are defined.
What is the difference between the MCCQE and the NAC Examination?
The MCCQE assesses medical knowledge and clinical decision-making. The NAC Examination is a separate national clinical assessment used to evaluate readiness to enter a Canadian residency programme. Eligibility and use within a candidate’s pathway must be confirmed through the Medical Council of Canada and the relevant application route.
Is the NCLEX-RN used throughout Canada?
The NCLEX-RN is used for registered nurse applicants by Canadian nursing regulators outside Quebec. Candidates must also meet the additional registration requirements of the province or territory where they intend to practise.
Is the REx-PN used in every Canadian province?
No. The REx-PN was developed for the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and the College of Nurses of Ontario. Practical-nurse applicants should verify the examination and registration requirements of their intended province.
Does PEBC certification automatically allow a pharmacist to practise?
No. PEBC certification is an important part of the pathway, but provincial and territorial pharmacy regulators set additional licensing requirements. Candidates should confirm the complete pathway before applying for an examination or purchasing preparation.
Does an NDEB certificate automatically provide a dental licence?
No. NDEB certification confirms that the national certification requirement has been met, but the dental regulator in the province or territory issues the licence to practise and may require additional steps.
Can ExamCure determine whether I am eligible for a Canadian exam or licence?
No. ExamCure may help you identify a potentially relevant preparation pathway, but only the responsible official regulator, examining body or certification college can determine eligibility, document acceptance, examination access and licensing status.
Are the Canada preparation courses available now?
